why custom calligraphy?
When you want to take your overall wedding experience to “WOW”, cohesive design is key. Color palettes, florals, and attire all play into the overall theme of the day, but calligraphy and signage are also contributing factors that make a statement in the overall design. Yes! In a nutshell, everything I create is custom and handwritten by me. If you have something in mind that you don’t see displayed in my investment packet or portfolio page, let me know! I love getting exciting new requests.

I don’t at the moment! My requests are so frequently based in calligraphy and hand lettered signage that I leave this to other stationery and graphic design pros. I do offer spot calligraphy services which can be used in your invitation design.

Spot calligraphy is originally written by hand in calligraphy then vectorized into a high resolution digital file that can be incorporated in the invitation suite. No physical items are sent with spot calligraphy. You’ll only receive a high resolution digital file of your choice in PDF, JPEG, or TIFF that your stationer can then insert into your invitation design. This ensures that your calligraphy is consistent between your invitation suite all the way to the signage I provide for the big day.

Nope! I crafted those packages based on what is most frequently ordered to try and simplify the process for my clients, but I offer a la carte signage options as well!

Absolutely! If you have pieces that you would like me to write on, simply send me photos so I can take a look and make sure that the size is right and that the surface is smooth enough to write on. In some cases, we’ll need to meet for me to take a look and make sure the ink will adhere properly. You can provide your own mirrors, wooden signage, and more.

Nope! Custom ink colors do not acquire an additional fee.

I offer clients the option of paying a 50% deposit at the time of booking, with the final 50% payment due one month before the event date. Or, you are welcome to pay in full at the time of booking.

Fill out the form on my website on the Contact page for the specific quote you are requesting. Once the form is filled out, I will send you a formal estimate via Square. Clicking “Approve” on the estimate and paying the initial deposit reserves your spot on my calendar!

This varies, but my best advice is to book as soon as possible. A calligrapher’s availability is limited as hand calligraphy is a service that takes time. Additionally, 2022 is slated to be the busiest wedding season in decades. By contacting me early, I can reserve a spot on my calendar for your projects-but I always try to accomodate rush orders, as well!

If you are in need of delivery services, please check with me regarding availability. If I am available, there is a $100 charge for delivery only in the Greater Richmond area. Delivery and pickup is $175. Please inquire about additional on-site installation charges (such as large seating chart displays), if needed.

Your order will be ready for pickup the Thursday before your event unless we have made other arrangements, and should be returned no later than the following Wednesday—which allows for a week-long rental period.
The pickup location is at my home studio in Midlothian, Va.

Due to demand for the current 2023 and upcoming 2024 season, minimum wedding project orders start at $500.00. Please reach out regarding custom orders.
